How are you guys actually getting more reviews?

We’ve been hearing from contractors that getting reviews isn’t as straightforward as people make it sound. Some say they text or email after the job, some add it to their invoice, and some say they’ve tried an app, but the cost wasn’t worth it.

If that’s you, and you’re already using CompanyCam, you’re in luck. We recently launched a feature that lets contractors send review requests to customers right from the app!

Basically, right after the job’s done, you can attach some photos, write a note, and send the request to the customer. Once they leave you a review, the review will automatically post and sync to Google.

I’m curious, has anyone here actually used the reviews tool yet?

If not, what’s your current process for getting reviews? Do you send a message after the job? Add something to the invoice? Ask in person?

Going to start the 14-day trial & give it a run! I know this is just for Google Reviews - any plans for something similar for social media???

Sidenote, if there was a way to get this as an add-on instead of upgrading to Elite, we'll be more likely to purchase it. We don't have the need for any of the other Elite features...

I’ll give this a whirl! Right now I just send a link with the invoice that leads to my Google page. I would say it does ok, not great, but I have had people say they are weary of referring me because I’m already too busy for often them, so don’t want my schedule to be even more busy.

I am interested in what you thought of the trial @Jane S and @the_ladyplumber ? I am very interested in increasing our online presence and utilizing Elite to more easily collect google reviews with photos and showcase projects.

I am a bit weary of the increase in monthly pricing and also wondering if it is a heavy lift to implement? I wonder if we will need to adjust or re-architect how we use CompanyCam and therefore our digital project management system to accommodate these two features. For example, we currently manage repeat projects with the same CompanyCam "project", essentially equating CompanyCam project to a site - I imagine we would need to change this should we implement showcase and google reviews?

It's been a little while since I used the trial so I don't fully remember everything. But it was incredibly easy to use. It took us all of 10 minutes to get our production and sales teams using it. I don't *think* you will need to restructure anything. The feature itself wasn't linked to a project, but merely allowed us to select photos to send to the customer so they could include the photos we provided.

Yes, I hear you on that! It's one thing for a customer to say "I'd love to help in anyway" or "I'd be happy to write a review or recommendation" and then for them to actually do it.

Did you find the CompanyCam review tool to be easy to use and deploy during your trial? Even if it didn't necessarily materialize with customer action?

Yes! The tool itself was great! Easy to setup, easy to use, easy to implement.
