In our recent CompanyCam classes, we've been asking users for their opinions on AI and how they're approaching it in their business.

Nearly 1 in 3 respondents told us that their biggest barrier to implementing AI is that it's "unclear how it benefits my business."

So I'm curious to see what the Community's experience with AI is:

1. Have you implemented AI into your business? Why or why not?
2. What benefits have you experienced? If any.
3. What tools/apps have you tried?

I’d love a feature that allows us to assign a Project Manager/Team to a specific project, and then have that assignment automatically control project-specific activity emails.

What I’m looking for:

• Ability to assign a Project Manager/Team (or main owner) to each project.
• Once assigned, that person receives email notifications when there is new activity on that project, including:
  • New photos added
  • Checklist activity (items completed or updated)
  • Reports created or updated
  • Pages activity
  • Documents uploaded or modified

Each email could include:

• A brief synopsis of what changed
• A link directly to the new activity in CompanyCam

This would help us ensure the right person is always in the loop for their projects without having to manually watch everything or dig through notifications.

I'm the admin, cultivating the pipeline and handling accounting while Hubby is in the field getting the work done and estimates. We are the sole owners of our companies.

My biggest struggle is watching him pay cash or using a personal card for BUSINESS expenses! But I digress...

We use Quickbooks Online which is tied to our bank account - so expenses are automatically posted and categorized. Also, American Express is great with detailed end of year reports.

Not before December 1st for me! But I know some great people who decorate for Christmas November 1st

Also, if it helps, we have "four C's" as our values. Communication. Cleanliness. Character. Check [Everything]. If you want to cuss like a sailor, don't expect a full bonus. If you want to leave scraps around the job sites, don't expect a full bonus. You get the picture. Beyond the bonus, it provides a baseline for promotions, and in some cases terminations. There is a further breakdown where there are 100 traits graded 0-2, and each one gets allotted to a "C" and the annual review is based on their score out of 100. An apprentice wouldn't be able to grade on a project manager, so they aren't expected to have a grade for everything. But essentially, the score out of 100 shows progress from apprentice > technician > foreman > project manager.

To troubleshoot this effectively we'd need more information like the model of your iPad and the version of the app you're using. Our Support Team would love to help! Ah Mary-Anne! Separate from CompanyCam, my No. 1 day-to-day priority, I've thought about doing the same with some of my other side businesses that I do for fun (Session Solos, JTal Guitars, etc.). The content creation stuff has been the most rewarding and takes up more time than the others, so I've thought about rolling it all up under that. I've got some experience with it in terms of being in S-Corps, multiple LLC setups in the past but not enough to guide anyone but myself yet.

This is me saying, I'm considering the same, on a much smaller level than you (way smaller lol) and I'm willing to trade notes while not having a ton of answers yet.

I would love that! I’m super torn as my accountant wants to wait until we see the numbers for 2025 but I’m drowning in paperwork and just want to pull the trigger for beginning of January.

Absolutely! I actually don’t listen to anything in the morning. 4am-8am (minus an hour gym time) I wallow in my own thoughts which I’m not sure is any better
