Allow sketches on a whiteboard

Allow sketches to made on a whiteboard. Not everything can be done on a photo, like a rough sketch of a property footprint showing the location of work to be done. We're required to do this on every job, and so is every other mitigator in the country.

Hi @Lbelland, thanks for sharing this! A quick footprint sketch on every job is exactly the kind of real-world workflow that helps us understand what mitigators need.

A freeform whiteboard to sketch on isn’t something CompanyCam has today, so I don’t want to overpromise. Here’s a workaround you can use right now:

1. Start with a base image. Snap a photo of a hand-drawn sketch on paper or a whiteboard, or upload a screenshot of the property from an aerial/map view.
2. Mark it up in the photo editor. Use Draw, Line, Arrow, Circle, Square, and Text to outline the footprint, label rooms, and call out where work will happen.
3. Drop it into a Document. Add the marked-up image to a Document alongside your notes, so the sketch and scope travel together and are easy to share.

Not as slick as sketching from scratch, but it keeps everything in one project. I’ve passed your request along to our Product team so they can see how many mitigators need this. If other folks here would use it, give the post a vote!
