Creating automated subfolders in document section.

I want to be able to create subfolders that I can set up to automatically populate in the document section.
For example: One of my project managers creates a scope of work on a property/ project, they are creating this scope of work externally from Companycam using word or another software, I would like to be able to create a subfolder that automatically populates in the document section of the project when the project is created then they can upload that scope of work into that folder.
Companycam already has a function to create these subfolders but no way to automate it, I would love to see this added.

Hi Cori, good news: you can do this now!

Project templates can hold document folders, and when a project starts from that template, the folders come along with it. To “automate” it, set that template as your default so every new project starts with your folders already in place. Your PMs can then upload their scope of work straight into the right folder.

Here’s how:

1. On the web app, go to Templates under Resources and open (or create) a Project Template.
2. Add a folder in the Documents section and name it (like “Scope of Work”).
3. From the Projects tab in Templates, click the three-dot menu on that template and choose Set as Default Template.

A couple of notes: templates are built on the web app by Admins and Managers, and they’re available on select plans. Here’s the full rundown: Project Templates Now Hold Document Folders.
