The biggest gap here is field scheduling. I have been with company cam forever and patiently waiting for a basic schedule to come out so the guys know where to go and when to go.

It's the biggest gap I have. As a renovations company I need a software like jobtread to schedule and budget projects, but their field use side is super weak, So I use company cam to manage all of my field staff, which works amazing, but I still have to formally send a "this is where you are going today" text to everyone. A simple calendar where you could asign the tasks or checklists to and assign the crew to would be super helpful, or even simpler, just a calendar where you can sign the crew to a date and a time and a project.

Hey James, thanks for the feedback!

There's no native crew calendar in CompanyCam today, as you know, but you're far from the only one asking. This is easily one of the most requested things we hear, so I've passed your write-up along to our product team. It's an area we're actively digging into right now, though I can't give you a timeline on what lands or when.

In the meantime, here's the closest thing to what you're describing, and it gets you further than a group text:

Assign users to the Project. Open the Project → Project Users → Assign Users. Everyone assigned gets a notification that drops them right into the job, and it shows up in their Projects list on mobile. (How to assign a Project to Users)

Use the Google Calendar integration for the "when." It's two-way — you can create a CompanyCam Project straight from a Google Calendar event. If your office schedules the week on a shared work calendar, the jobs get built in CompanyCam automatically and your team taps the Project link from the event to land on-site with everything already there. Assign the work. Project Tasks live in the To-Dos tab and can be assigned to specific people — crews see everything assigned to them in My Stuff, across every job.
