Which name really fits?

I voted tennis shoes, even though I've always been fascinated how "tennis" got all the credit for a large array of shoes. Never used sneakers and am definitely not cool enough to say "kicks." Not now, nor in 1992 either.

I grew up saying tennis shoes and never questioned the name until my college roommate made fun of me for not calling them sneakers
