Project filters

Hey Casey!
  • Our color-coded Project Labels would be a good addition to your workflow. Many users utilize Labels to mark job stages, like you mentioned, and they also work with some of our integrations. These are added to the individual projects, and once added, you can sort using the slider filter on that screenshot (example attached).

  • Project Groups will allow you to group related projects from your Projects screen. This is currently in Beta testing, though. 🧪

Project filters

When I go to Projects, I have so many. It is mixed between potential jobs, signed jobs and then our cleanings. I wish there was a way to create a filtered tab in the grey box that we could name. Kind of like the tags do, but in it's own list. I hope that makes sense. I see I can filter the all bucket, but that is temporary. Thank you!

How do you track your expenses?

I'm the admin, cultivating the pipeline and handling accounting while Hubby is in the field getting the work done and estimates. We are the sole owners of our companies.

My biggest struggle is watching him pay cash or using a personal card for BUSINESS expenses! But I digress...

We use Quickbooks Online which is tied to our bank account - so expenses are automatically posted and categorized. Also, American Express is great with detailed end of year reports.

Irrigation Noir

BS024_Good-Contractor_S2_Working-With-Matt_Animated-Lightning480.gif
For most interviews in Season 2 of the Good Contractor Podcast we try to add a few animated illustrations to bring one of our guest's stories to life. Usually, I spend time brainstorming the visual direction for each animation - but when Matt began describing the mystery of irrigation, I knew almost instantly that it would be noir-themed.

Shout-out to our incredible illustrator, Adam Kovar, for perfectly capturing the classic noir vibe while staying true to our three-tone sketch style.
Let me know if we nailed it - or if not, what genre you think would fit the irrigation story better.
